This "payful" thing. Actually, it is not an English word at all, but it is not a Chinese word, either. It was coined by Jiaren, my slave, because it sounds like the Chinese word "pei4 fu2" (with high respect).

It is always most interesting and enlightening reading your pieces. I wonder if you can write something in Chinese to educate us all, me included.
