pays any attention to the current practice of the Taiwanese so as to summarize the positive and negative lessons, even though TW serves as the most ideal laborotory for China, given its identical cultural background.
Siyun has drawn the conclution too soon. But its' the typical way of reflection of the Chinese people. In view of the same situation, some of us hail the great victory of democracy, others conclude that the Chinese characters do not fit democratic systems. None of them give you a comprehensive picture. It appears that we simply do not have the ability to comprehend and analyse a complicated situation rationally. I know this sounds like Siyun, but I am only emphasizing the importance of rational thinking, which has to become a Chinese tradition yet.
