It reminds me of a proverb in 18 century 's US: "The only good Indian is a dead Indian". So the white people as the majority believed that the native Indians were good at death.
Even the Nobel Peace Prize winner (1906?), President Roosevelt, once said in a meeting in New York (1886):
" I don't go so far as to think that the only good Indians are dead Indians, but I believe nine out of every ten are, and I shouldn't like to inquire too closely into the case of the tenth. "
In Chinese, it reads: "(罗斯福总统1886说：)我不想扯得太远去说只有死掉的印第安人才是好人，但是我相信10个好印第安人有9个是已经死了的，而且我也不愿意去细查第10个是咋死的。"
“人民之声即上帝”. Is it the tradition of the US or is it following the principle of democracy: let the majority rule.
