other three difinitions inlcuding behavior addiction:
1.The condition of being habitually or compulsively occupied with or or involved in something.
2.An instance of this: had an addiction for fast cars.
i don't think chinese difinition has broader view, you can say it is a more ambiguous concept. in modern psychology research, they try to find biological and physiological evidences of those so called psychological disease.
there was a talk show on abc last, some researchers in U of chichago found some biological evidences in shop-lifter's brain, so shop-lifter may be defined and be treated as a disease in the future.
