Teen found guilty of threatening terrorism at school

MOUNT CLEMENS (AP) - A Macomb County jury convicts a teen-ager of plotting a massacre at his high school.
The jury yesterday found Andrew Osantowski guilty of threatening terrorism, and of using a computer to threaten terrorism.
The 18-year-old faces up to 20 years on each conviction when he's sentenced July-eleventh.
Osantowski was arrested last September, after authorities found Internet chat-room messages in which he threatened to kill students at Chippewa Valley High School. The messages were received by an Idaho teen who alerted a father, a police officer who in turn contacted Michigan authorities.
Macomb County Prosecutor Eric Smith says bringing the case averted a tragedy. Defense attorney Brian Legghio says he will appeal the convictions.
