The correct answer is (c) Although the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 was repealed in 1943, strict quotas remained in place until the Immigration Reform Act of 1965, signed by President Lyndon B. Johnson.

Dr. Wen Ho Lee, a Taiwan-born U.S. citizen working as a physicist in the weapons section of the Los Alamos Nuclear Laboratories, is arrested on charges of spying for China. He spends 278 days in solitary confinement before being released with an apology from a US District Judge.

Chinese American population of the U.S. is 2,879,636 out of 281,421,904.
