说得对。也许真的有太多问题要好好想想。
一、想一想在费卢杰被炸至肢离破碎的数千妇孺？
二、想一想估计在第二次海湾战争中死去的十万伊拉克人？
三、想一想在第一次海湾战争后，在美国要求下联合国对伊实施制裁所造成五十万无辜死去的儿童？
四、想一想强权是否就是真理？
五、想一想什么是政治宣传？
六、想一想美国的国际形象为什么在短短几年间一落千丈？
七、想一想美帝国的下场会否与昔日的帝国无异？
八、 美国入侵伊拉克两年以来，总军费开支至今已超越1480亿美元；然而，根据联合国的研究报告，每年只要花费700至800亿美元，便可以为全球所有贫穷国家解决医疗和教育问题。想一想布什总统既然经常声称美国是一个基督教国家，为什么不去仿效圣经中那位善心的撒玛利亚人，去救死扶伤、帮助邻国解决燃眉之急，反而要发动不仁不义的侵略战争，造成生灵涂炭的人道灾难？
我没有答案。请大家好好想想。
此外，我在某英文论坛上，就第二次海湾战争提出了一些观点。也许会有参考价值。
First, Saddam had not been big on terrorism throughout his reign. Quite the contrary: his Baathist party played an instrumental role in keeping the fundamentalists at bay. In other words, the US had opened a can of worms by deposing Saddam.
Second, most of the worst deeds that Saddam did to his own people were carried out when he was still a friend and ally of the US (during the war with Iran). Why didn't people mention human rights back then? Why didn't the US condemn Saddam's evil deeds on humanitarian grounds at those times?
Third, the very idea of a pre-emptive war is dubious and dangerous. Since there aren't any WMDs in Iraq and no connection can be established between Saddam and the 911 attacks, the Bush team should apologize for having made a mistake and tell the soldiers to return home. Otherwise, it would be quite natural for people to speculate that the warmongers are perpetuating the war out of purely selfish motives.
My impression is that the US news media have been way more "biased" than their counterparts in other countries. The sanction against Iraqi people after the First Gulf War is a case in point. There are several UN reports documenting the fact that tens of thousands Iraqi people, mostly children, died as a result of the sanction, yet no major US news media seemed to have commented on this fact when covering the situation in Iraq.
