Higher math is useless when the people's major concern is whether it will rain tomorrow.
On the contrary, if a people survives through time, all kinds of things would be discovered and invented eventually.
For an analogy in biology, let us look at the dinosaurs. It is a great achievement that the giant dinosaurs can pump blood 20 or 30 feet upward into their heads. No other animals have achieved that yet. However, dinosaurs are still dinosaurs beacause they could not survive the test of time.
To answer your question, I am not kidding. What do you think?
