sex and obscenity are not synonymous. Obscene material is material which deals with sex in a manner appealing to prurient interest.
注意prurient是obscenity 的同意。
最关键的是下面一句：
The standard which the Court thereupon adopted for the designation of material as unprotected obscenity was ''whether to the average person, applying contemporary community standards, the dominant theme of the material taken as a whole appeals to prurient interest.''
这实际上是给色情的定义一个于时局进的能力，就是说只要大多数人能就收，就要保护，这也是amandment I的出发点，明白了8。
