It sounds like a convenient thinking for a practical reason. not based on the sound reasoning.
how could he kick social system out of the umbrella of culture?
In my opinion, what is vital lies in the core of a culture. I would say how the relationship between every other individuals is defined.
To me, it is very obvious from a historial point of view.
absolute monarchy as France under Louis 14
->constitutional monarchy, as English with Bill of rights in ink.
->democracy, as US with its consitution in form.
Only with mindset which recognizes the equlity of individuals can avoid the attempts such as saveing/correcting/reshaping others' souls. That is proprietarily God's job. Don't even think about it. Anyone is not better than the other, or, more practically, anyone is not so better than one's follow human beings that he/she can impose his/her will/understanding/vision on others.
Only on this mental platform could violence be avoided and conflicts be contained within humanity.
