This is a Chinese name; the family name is Wang.
Wang Yaowu (Chinese: 王耀武; pinyin: Wáng Yàowŭ, 1904-1968) was a KMT general from Shandong. He fought both the Japanese and the Chinese Communists. He served as Chairman of the Shandong Provincial Government from 1946 to 1948. He was captured 1949 by the People's Liberation Army after the fall of Jinan and held as a prisoner until his release in 1959[1] after an amnesty. In 1964, he was appointed to the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference[2]. Four years later, he died of abuse during the Cultural Revolution[2].
