The sun was extinguished on Día de los Angelitos
Contrary to what may appear.
In solitary repast, more absent than the souls of the departed children
And wishing naught but pain
On myself
For letting her away.
Against this backdrop of despair
Came the most beautiful of Satan's minions
Promising her gifts and pleasures
To take my pain from me.
'Twixt candles' flame
And a centerpiece of red roses
Her eyes rage
Scorning temperance and propriety.
Witness the birth of a core
More terrible than any other!
A night of blissful rage
Rage, bliss! Rage!
Bring fire through me
And scorch the Earth with my despair!
Rejoice, oh damned bretheren,
Night endeth not,
For such fire danceth not on coals.
