What can you expect from a man who has to retire from his career at an age bellow 60 because he can’t find a job? After viewing his writings one probably could conclude, almost instantly, that
1.This man has an unusually big ego and vanity; He always wants a big audience for himself but has hardly ever had any in real life for his boring presentation skill and mean attitude toward others.
2.Because of his failure in accomplishing anything real through his career, he has nothing to pomp either his ego or vanity them up
3.The only thing he really does well is the composition of the “big character posters” (or Da-Zi-Bao) which he learnt the tricks about in his early youth during the culture revolution.
4.He writes all his garbage to evoke response from who ever else in order to feed his vanity.
5.He is so indulged in his self-consolation that he has lost touch to either logic or reality.
In fact you know what this means. You diagnosis is absolutely correct—mantel illness! Or you are actually urging him to see a doctor? But I warn you that he probably would not listen because he wants the attention. I suggest we leave him along, let him play with all the lunatics like that Zhang sister/brother or whoever else he could summon on this forum. This is what we do in the asylums. Trust me, such approach has a powerful tranquilizing effect on patients like Lu Di. As long as no normal minded people around, the lunatics could play just like toddlers. Follow my professional advice you will see it happen.
