Queens: Man Robbed and Fatally Stabbed

A 40-year-old man was fatally stabbed and robbed of his cellphone early yesterday near an entrance to Kissena Corridor Park, above, at Colden Street and Elder Avenue in Flushing, the police said. Residents nearby said they heard fighting and screaming in English and Chinese about 4 a.m., when, according to the police, the man was stabbed in the chest by one of at least three men who had approached him. The victim, whose name the police did not release yesterday, was taken to New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens, where he died later in the day, the police said.
