If you don’t understand something or can’t explain something, why not just admit it and leave it at that, instead of coming up with all kinds of bizarre explanations? As Confucius said: 知之為知之,不知為不知,是知也。
One reason people get into religion is because of existential angst. You first claim that one should not apply scientific method to religion. Then spend the rest of your essay, not to mention the previous few essays, speculating, analyzing and rationalizing crucifixion as historical fact. Isn’t this a bit strange?
Since you are analyzing crucifixion as an historical event. Why is it laughable when others question the rational basis of your analysis?
