I don’t think the two situations are comparable. I haven’t read Tsuji’s book, but from his comment on Churchill, it is clear that he has deep respect for the British even though the subject of his book is about a Japanese triumph and a British defeat. I doubt the British officer would write a praising introduction if the British soldiers are portrayed as inferior subhuman to be treated as animals worthy of indiscriminant slaughter.
