To the English-speaking world, Fairy is the most popular word used to describe a separate race of beings or spirits that people have claimed seeing for long. From nordic sagas and Celtic stories, there are numerous variants of faeries, respectively different in their charms or size.
Fairyland, where faeries or leprechauns roam , is often translated as 仙境, and it is widely accepted among oriental readers .
Translation is an art of regrets. No translator can retain 100% originality . It is workable as long as it enables readers to grasp the essense of the other cultures.
