Now I figured you was trying to bring up some talks on "Cat..." and there on. I am sorry if I let you feel offensive. Well, it sounds like something you mentioned about the "Cat..." deserves a lot more attention. Frankly I have never read it but would like to know why it is good. All right. Let me do my work to trade it off with you.
To tell you what part of the story moves me, I have to say that it has probably a lot to do with my experience. A great deal of the story sounds familiar to me although I have never traveled in Japan. Yet the experience of living in a society that is culturally strange and liguistically difficult to understand is probably the ground for me to appreciate the story. With that background the charaters' destiny becomes my concern, and I want to know where and how they travel altogether. Then, people who are related to each of them come to the show and make the story more intriguing. My heart just goes with it. If I have to ask whether there is anything deeper than that, I honestly don't know. And I don't care much about the writing skills of the story. Rather I read it as a story, and I more care about what it tells. Surely how to tell a story can have a big impact on the readers. But in my case I pay a lot more attention to what they do and say, and I walk with them and feel them.
