Prison-style protest aims to free student Liu Di has spent 11 months in custody for her Net pro-democracy messages CHAN SIU-SIN
Supporters of a Beijing student detained for 11 months without trial have signed up for a four-week prison-simulation campaign for her release.
Dozens of people will take turns locking themselves up in darkness at home for a day to symbolically accompany the jailed Liu Di, said Du Daobin of Hubei, one of the campaign's initiators.
Liu, whose pen name is "Steel Mouse", is a 22-year-old psychology student at Beijing Normal University.
