Language is always changing.
Today's Hanjian is always a person who is against CCP for
various causes.
I do not think the word "Hanjian" ever been used when Machu invaded.
Even in the 1930s, Hanjian was not used exclusively to persons
who worked for Japanese. For example, Lu Xun, was widely called
a HanJian when he was alive(not anymore later he was dead), but he
never worked for Japs, like his brother
