按照基本的辩论规矩，一开始指责本人搞不懂阿努巴arrest和detain区别的yankee和消极早就没理由继续在那里胡搅蛮缠了：美国的几乎所有主要传媒，包括FOXNEWS都明确使用的是arrest这个词，因此本人根据相关报道重复阿努巴警方arrest嫌犯的说法，即使和事实有所偏差（假如这根据荷兰法律，本该叫做detain的话），要怪的也只能是美国主流传媒，绝对扯不到什么“对英语词汇含义理解不清”的问题上----因为几乎所有美国传媒都使用了arrest的说法。
尤其昨天我已经贴出Foxnews的arrest标题，其中甚至提到阿努巴官方也公布arrest了那位少年嫌犯的父亲。。。这就更不存在所谓是某人所谓“这个新闻FOX报得好一些”的问题了。
事实上，如果谁今天用Google组合搜索Sruba和Arrest，他更会发现几乎所有北美媒体都使用的是arrest这个词（结果附后）----莫非这么多北美媒体记者编辑比yankee和消极还不懂美国英文或者对阿努巴法律体系更有研究？！我绝对不相信。
那么为什么Foxnews部分报道中使用了用in held和custody的说法呢？并非arrest这个词用错了，也不一定是某人所谓“这个新闻FOX报得好一些，因为突出了不同”----而是因为in held和custody这两个词都比arrest范围广，因此用来形容arrest并没有任何错误。
事实上，CNN报道中也曾同时使用过detention这样的词，这当然不代表CNN说arrest不对，而只是因为在美国（很可能还有阿努巴）法律体系没有arrest和detention两个不同法律步骤（也就是没有中国那样“逮捕”和“拘留”之分）的情况下，形容被arrest的嫌疑被detain，本身并不会造成混淆，也并没有错误罢了。
至于“和中国一样，荷兰警察arrest某人要有检察院发的逮捕令，而hold某人需要拘留”。。。也许（但yankee没有提供任何有关荷兰法律体系的中英文资料证据），但我原文写的十分清楚：我并不清楚荷属Aruba岛是否一定实行和荷兰本土一样的司法制度（美国传媒也没有提这件事情），我只知道根据美国传媒使用美国英语的报道尤其是对比分析：Aruba警察是明确arrest了多名嫌犯。。。请问我对美国传媒英文报道的理解哪点错了？要下面两位连detention都没听说过的愣头青出来给本人上英语常识课？！
我觉得好笑的是：明明在这个坛子很多人不仅对西方社会的理解一塌糊涂，而且平时根本不具备起码的英文阅读分析能力。。。他们却总喜欢给别人的新闻分析挑刺，似乎只要能找出别人对西方社会理解的几个错误（如果有的话），他们自己的英文水平就马上见涨，可以马上去打使用英文而不是使用中文的工了。。。上次我根据英文新闻分析说加拿大女议员临阵倒戈应该受到道义谴责，马上也有人出来暗示本人对本地洋人的“一致反应”毫无了解----最后本人拿出铁一般的本地人英文讨论证据，甚至拿出时代杂志好几封读者来信，挑战者才终于没得说。。。
这次结果也是一样，不过本人已经明明拿出美国传媒的报道和分析原文，证明了美国传媒也是和我一样理解、使用的arrest，yankee和消极仍然在那里死不认输，东拉西扯、胡搅蛮缠罢了，完全没有人家“实子”爽快认错的半点风度----美国英文已经证明是他们不行，他们就去来和我争什么我从来没有论述过的“荷兰法律的原意”，然后不断重复“昨天花了很长时间帮安魂曲提高英语”的阿Q式谎言、疯话----似乎这么一来，不仅他们两人的英文理解能力就一举超过安魂曲，而且他们两人也能从此写出比安魂曲更好的英语新闻分析文章了似的。
尤为可笑的是：yankee觉得在这个问题上无法有效中伤本人，就暗示斑竹为本人那篇文章提导不妥云云。。。。其实本人那篇文章也同时被万维天下论坛提了导（万维的提导标准更严）----倒是我在楼下质疑信天翁的帖子，详细分析了8.19事变的史实，自己却从没要求提导，结果连老翁自己都说该贴应该提导。不知小人之心者对此有何话说？
