I have just read Jia Ren’s suggestion and I fully understand his worry that I will call An Tian a con-man in 3 or 5 years. To set his mind in peace once and for all, I would like to make the following announcement:
1) I formally withdraw my signature from the proposed open letter which is now in the hand of an evil political force, as I refuse to be manipulated and used by those schemers to their own benefits.
2) The responsibility of entrusting Yu Dalang to sign my name fully lies on my shoulder. It’s neither Mr An Tian nor Mr Yu Dalang’s fault.
3) For the rest of my life, I will never, ever, accuse An Tian, or Yu Dalang, or any others, of cheating me in this matter.
4) I sincerely hope that in the future, such humanitarian operations can be freed from the monopoly and manipulation by those evil political forces and become a sincere expression of ordinary people’s will.
