Folks, what makes you think KMT would behave to the liking
of the mainland? It will undoubtedly think itself a
legitimate government of a sovereign country and will
fight for its living space on international stages.
Besides, the mainland government, out of its legendary
foolishness over Taiwan affairs, tends to have too high an
expectation on a KMT government, and would act accordingly
(and stupidly as well).
Think a ruling KMT would then start dancing to the beating
of the communist drum on the mainland? Well, think
again. KMT leaders would soon exhaust its remaining
political resources fighting against the mainland
“annexation” attempts on one hand, and against the pro-
independence forces on the other.
While the ruling KMT to fight in both fronts, the
Democratic Progressive Party only has to deal with one.
Folks, you all seem to be the kind of military savvies as
are those army guys with heavy chip decorations on both
shoulders. I will not bother to predict the outcome on
your behalf.
