* what are the nation's values and goals? capitalism values materialism

and growth in output, while socialism emphasise personal freedom and equality.



* a socialist country needs more central power to make and enforce decisions.

a socialist country needs higher degree of centralisation(of power).

* means of production or resources:

a socialist country promotes public ownership; a capitalist country promotes

private ownership.
