2012年9月18日21时37分，多维新闻发文《董建华：习近平游泳伤背部现已康复》(http://china.dwnews.com/news/2012-09-18/58854263.html)，称：
“中国国家副主席习近平近两个星期未公开露面，外事活动也临时取消，而官方未有任何说法来解释他“失踪”的原因，曾引起外界诸多猜测。日前，中国现任全国政协副主席董建华在接受媒体采访时称，习近平在较早时游水伤及背部，现已康复。
“董建华接受美国有线新闻网络（CNN）访问时表示，习近平较早时游水时伤及背部，现已康复，返回工作。而传媒的报道纯粹是揣测。
“董建华指出，中国领导人的健康不是公众议题，他预计，随着中国更开放，并成为世界一部分，这种事情会最终改变。
“董建华说，相信中共十八大在下月举行，习近平将毫无疑问会成为中国下一任领导人。”
2012年9月19日格林威治时间2时32分，BBC中文网出现同标题文章(http://www.bbc.co.uk/zhongwen/simp/chinese_news/2012/09/120919_china_xi_tungcheehwa.shtml)，但文中多了一句：
“董建华在采访中还说，根据过往经验，国家主席胡锦涛在卸任后仍会担任中央军委主席一段时间。”
19日下午2时56分，此文出现于联合晚报(http://udn.com/NEWS/MAINLAND/MAI1/7373597.shtml)。根据Google记录，12小时前此文曾显身于凤凰网，但目前已经消失。
用英文搜索关键词“CNN Jianhua Dong Jinping Xi”，CNN居然无出，TASS社的文章出现于19日莫斯科时间14时37分(http://english.ruvr.ru/2012_09_19/Chinese-Vice-President-Xi-Jinping-to-become-China-s-next-leader-official/)，显然比多维与BBC中文网要晚。5小时前出现在Turkish Weekly(http://www.turkishweekly.net/news/142244/chinese-vice-president-xi-jinping-to-become-china%C3%ADs-next-leader-official-.html)，显然中文报道在前，英文报道在后，而且既没有涉及悲伤，也没有谈到Who留任事宜。
