i am crazy for small Tibetan dog breeds.

we understand that only rich people can maintain small dog breeds. I am wondering how could Tibetan people , assumed to be poor and resource limited, could breed those small dogs.

I had 3 dogs in China. They were middle sized. I could not afford feeding them. Most of the time, they went out to look for food and mate.

I think Tibetan people lived much better than Chinese
