This article http://dadao.net/htm/culture/2001/0618/1391.htm 唯一者虹影,与她的神 by 赵毅衡 reminds me of Sylvia Plath's 'Lady Lazarus':
[ Lady Lazarus]
...
Out of the ash
I rise with my red hair
And I eat men like air.

While Sylvia Plath's Other divorced Half, Poet Ted Hughes wrote 'A March Calf':
...
Soon he'll plunge out, to scatter his seething joy,
To be present at the grass,
To be free on the surface of such a wideness,
To find himself himself. To stand. To moo.

Chinese poet, literary critique surely have gained much of their own voices after being silenced by revolutionary and abortive communist machinery after 1949 and extending almost 30 years. But if any of them insists upon this "唯一" 性, this exalted elation will kill 'the one and only' for all, IMHO.
