i came across chaochangqing's articlehttp://caochangqing.com/big5/newsdisp.php?News_ID=584 which i take my liberty to translate his title as 'who killed Jesus and why it matters'. It strikes a chord in me because i have protested on another semi-private online site (http://bbs.tastytronic.net/article/25.html) with the very same question. But our understanding of American people's obsession on 'Who killed Jesus' is very different. This is one of the most important questions that has a vast ramification on our moral understanding towards human rights, democracy and freedom. Spiritual freedom is always granted as long as one believe and BE with his creator despite one's rational mind. Justice for all towards searching one's own free existence is a whole different matter. Some believed that mankind and human society has the will and power to do so for themselves. Others believed humanity can not transcend human's original fall. Only through God's grace and God's own son Jesus Christ's blood can we be saved. So 'who killed Jesus'? Every preacher will tell you God did. God killed Jesus Christ with the son's submission to God's plan. I believe this conclusion may still sound very foreign to our Chinese preceptions towards American society.
