It is very bad to put Liu Di in jail。 A person who cares about writing and publishing her own articles should be encouraged not jailed。 Only the rulers who care less about culture and human rights more about how to rule with terror would do some thing like putting Liu Di into jail。
Is there any qualify Chinese law firm in Chicago area from Main land China which able to make a Case of "The Stainless steel Mouse V。 the Government of China" in order to defend her Constitution Right under the China Justice system。
I will be responsible for all the legal expense of this Case。 For further information, please contact:
China could be a great country if there are more people like 不锈钢老鼠。 Anyway, no matter she is right or not there is no reason to arrest her for voicing her opinions。 Please let her go。 For her sake and for China's sake。
I ever read some of her articles。 Though I am not absolutely agree with all her points, I still think that she should have the freedom of thinking and writing。
Since CCP had started to govern China in 1949, Chinese people became slaves of CCP。 You can do only what you are told to do。 Nothing else。 You've lost the freedom of public speech, press and gethering。 You have even lost the freedom of choosing a religion other than Chinese Communist Party。
刘荻 is a normal citizen who has voiced her opinions。 Is it fair to have her ended up in jail? You tell me。
I would like to raise your attention to the recent human rights violations committed by the government of People's Republic of China against Chinese Internet users。 Among those cases, the recent detention and possible trial of Liu Di concerns me a great deal。
From the BBS frequented by users of Chinese diaspora all over the world, I come to know of Liu, Di, 22, an senior at Beijing Normal University, majoring psycholo。 Nicknamed 'The Stainless Steel Rat', a cultural reference to Harry Harrison's novel, Liu Di is an active contributor to a popular BBS, xici。net。 She apparently disappeared after her posts on Internet touched topics such as Chinese literature, history and politics。 Later she was found being detained by Chinese government。 Since November 7, 2002, she has been incarcerated with no warrant, denied access to any legal assistance, and her relatives have been denied of visiting rights。 The manner of her arrest violates China's own Criminal Procedure Law。
I believe peaceful Internet users as Liu Di poses no threat to anybody or any organization。 The arbitrary detention of her is yet another serious violation of UN Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, of which China is a signatory。
I commend Amnesty International's tireless effort fighting for everyone and each one's justice and human rights。 I would like to bring to your attention Liu Di's case and other victims of Chinese government's acts, which threats Internet community as a whole。 Those cases deserve AI's immediate action before all of those victims become languishing prisoner of conscience。 Through AI, I demand immediate and unconditional release of Liu Di and others, and urge to make sure that everyone in China is able to use the Internet to receive and transmit their beliefs and opinions in line with their fundamental human rights to freedom of opinion and expression。
I believe that free speech is fundamental to all other freedoms of a modern country.? Whether the speech of a person matches the government's official lines is inmaterial.? In fact, there is no freedom of speech if citizens are only allowed to say what is approved by the government.? The People's Republic of China advocates itself as a modern free country with a written consititution. Its consitution guarantees the freedom of speech to its citizen.? It is time that the government respects its consititution and accord the citizens their lawful rights.? The illegal use of police power to arbitrarily incarcerate itizens is not acceptable and should be stopped now and forever.
Thank you for signing names to release Liu Di.? I read some of her articles which are well written.? People should have freedom to express their opinions.? China government must release Liu Di and make public apology and pay her damage.? Please add my name to the list.
