Old days seemed better:
I was talking to an old Taiwanese Mainland lady 2 days ago. Lots of interesting stories about Communists, Nationalists and Japanese. She lived in a small village. She said when Japanese left, communist came immidiately. She was in school studying with the books from communists. 2 years later, the nationalists came, she was in school with nationalist’s books. Several months later, the nationalists left, she was in school with communist books again. She liked nationalist’s books better because of the good quality with lot of illustrations. Then Japanese came again, she went to Shanghai. From there she fleeted to Taiwan in believing that Nationalists would be withdrawing to there.
Amazingly, she, as a little girl in a rural area, got educated in those days.
