I consider being laid off a kind of emancipation. I have
experienced the same thing. After several times, I came
to realize that I was burning my life’s oil to enrich
other parsimonious guys who wouldn’t pay me half of my
work’s worth and not a penny more. To hell with them! I
have good degree, an able body, am experienced in my area,
and good-looking, why the hell not working for myself?
And I haven’t worked for another guy ever since. Never
regretted ‘cuase there’s no need to. My life style
totally changed, more time to pamper myself, to be with my
family while raking in more income from my growing
business. For the first time since I came to this country,
I started to walk with a big swagger.
It’s not the national disaster, nor is it the end of the
world. To hell with this stupid research institute! Let it
be disbanded! And down with that fat, stupid Big Head!
You’re an erudite man, and writing is your forte. I am
sure you’re able to weather this turbulence relatively
unscathed. Going forward, I regret to see your writing
less.
