Whether one agrees with Lu or not, the questions he raised are really worth noticing.
Politics is after all to be used for changing the society. An important virtue for a good politician is a combination of efforts and compromises. This might be the conventional middle kindom's middle-way inheritance.
Of course, in a democratic society, one do need the all the necessary ingredients, the left, middle and right of different political wings. One needs both dreamers and doers, anyway.
