The Association of American Universities (AAU) was
founded in 1900 by a group of fourteen universities
offering the Ph.D. degree. The AAU currently consists
of sixty-one American universities and two Canadian
universities.
Membership in the association is by invitation. The
invitation of new members, which requires the assent of

本看好戏又被骗说US News and world report的rank用的标准太commercial，
所以不能代表学术水平。
另外Rutgers Newark campus是2.9,
但主要的New Brunswick campus好像是3.3.
Newark工资比New Brunswick高是因为那是黑人城，
多数人不愿意去.
