International roaming using smartphone could be very expensive. In such case, GPS is still a better choice.

BTW, what is the best resolution you can achieve using smartphone + chromecast? I guess it cannot be 1080p because of bandwidth limitation of WiFi. To me, image quality is the most important factor when watching any video.
