I doubt any one here has some personal affections with gum trees that a koala relies on.
I remember vividly there are two kinds of gum trees, one with lancet leaves, smooth trunk and branches, The other has wider leaves and rough trunk and branches. both have the same smell.
The scent from gum trees is not particularly pleasant for the first time you smell it, but you will love it after a while.
Besides this, i used to ride on the high up of the tree. In windy days, you were swayed so much as if your were on the top of a mast of a tall ship. you need a lot of gut to stay there long.
well, actually, i did not stayed long as a snake approached me.
