This redistribution of economic power was meant to extend democracy far beyond the limits advocated by earlier democratic revolutions. Marx viewed that social services such as health, education, and housing would be given free, but people would still be paid wages based upon their contribution of work.
Economic democracy is the way for true democracy, whether there is pain or not in the process of the progress.
China now has swung too far toward capitalism.
